What is an LC certification?

LC means Lighting Certified. The National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals (NCQLP) has established a certification process by which practitioners in lighting and related fields, through testing, demonstrate their knowledge and experience across the lighting professions. The NCQLP is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to serve and protect the well-being of the public through effective and efficient lighting practice. Through a peer-review process, the NCQLP establishes the education, experience, and examination requirements for baseline certification across the lighting professions.

What is a CLEP certification?

The Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP) Program administered by the Association of Energy Engineers gives lighting efficiency-involved professionals the opportunity to receive recognition for their specialized knowledge and experience, and to demonstrate their high level of lighting efficiency expertise to clients, employers and colleagues. Widely recognized throughout industry and government, this certification has the dual purpose of both recognizing the most qualified lighting efficiency professionals, and raising the overall professional standards within the field.

What is LEED AP certification?

LEED, whose name originates from the acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, was launched in March 2000. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

LEED Professional Credentials (LEED AP) recognize professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building techniques, the LEED green building rating systems, and the certification process. The LEED Professional Credentials program is administered by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), which was established with the support of USGBC to allow for objective, balanced management of the credential program.
